1/72 M4A4 Sherman tank
And now for something else! I have been a huge military modeling fan although I haven't really built a lot of them. I have with me this tank, a Thunderbolt (Warthog), a Corsair and a HellCat.
I admire pro military modelers because of the intricacy of their builds and the way they weather their kits. I also had with me a fair amount of Fine Scale Modeler magazines that I read and reread all the time to get inspiration from even though I was more into sci-fi/mecha models.
Honestly, I do not know a lot about this tank. I mean, a lot of the guys who are heavily into military kits aim for accuracy and I admire them for it. They know tons about specific models of tanks and how they should scale down as kits. I'm not like that though, I just bought this kit for fun and to build something different and I enjoyed it a lot even though the tank is really really small.
In hindsight I should have bough for myself a 1/48 kit... and maybe I will one day.
I hand painted this kit using Reeves acrylics and did the weathering using Reeves oil paints. These paints are really really cheap and can be easily purchased from National Book Store here in the Philippines.
One day I think I'll get around to building the Corsair and take photos of the Warthog. However I'm currently working on an RG MkII and an MG Wing so I do not have a proper place to take photos right now. But all in all this was a fun build and a welcome change from Gunpla.
