SD Zeong

Not knowing what I wanted to build after the MG Wing Zero, I decided to do a random grab from my stash box and the SD Zeong was the kit that I got. I have already forgotten that I got this kit and was only reminded that I bought this when my brother and my cousin decided to clean one of our storage areas and they got a paper bag full of old Plamo. Along with this they also found my missing SD Perfect Gundam (I've also forgotten about that), SD Freedom and Justice as well as my missing 1/144 unbuilt Tieren Ground Type as well as the missing manipulators for my 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam.

I decided that for this build I will be weathering the kit heavily. I used my hobby knife and side cutters to add battle damage to this SD. I am also planning on making some effects parts for the explosion out of putty and I plan to have this removable so that the kit can be displayed on its own.

I've added some additional panel lines for the kit as well as some plastic plates to add details before I proceeded to add the damage. I don't know what colors I will be using but I'm thinking along the lines of making this a "Real Type" kit.

Right now I am contemplating if I should go back to using acrylics, its just more fun for me, even though working with lacquer paints give me more speed. I'm still undecided and its funny how I spend a lot of my waking hours thinking about this.

This kit has since been cleaned and dried and will be primed later. I feel that I am enjoying the hobby much more now than I ever have and hopefully down the line I could do some heavy mods and customizing. Right now however, I'm still enjoying building and painting as much as I can with as little body work as possible.
